Commissioner for International Development
The Commissioner for International Development represents the GFWA at international level. He has to support the international activities of German and foreign partners in rural development, he has to collaborate by the work of sub-organisations of the United Nations in the field of activities regarding rural development and land management as well as to represent the issue “land development” within the German Consulting Group “International Development in Geodesy and Geoinformation”. Finally, the Commissioner is service point for foreign requests from abroad in rural development concerns.
The Commissioner has yearly to refer to the plenary of the GFWA which is published in the Jahresbericht; an overview over supporting efforts (Unterstützungsleistungen) documents kind and extent of the international engagement of German experts in land development.
